I'll forever praise the detailed report you get when Portland Automotive does their thorough inspection of a vehicle. Well documented with measurements and photos of their findings. Ranked by severity if things need to be done. It's an incredible value to someone who knows a little but not much about cars. They always have an answer if I still have any questions. If you have a new to you car or a car that just needs some love, but you aren't sure what...hit these folks up. You'll be happy you did. I know that I have zero complaints.
