Is there anything scarier than having car trouble when you can't get home to your trusted mechanic? Well that's what happened to me. I'm away from home for a few months of work and my car was seriously ill. A local co-worker sent me to Portland Automotive and what a lucky thing for me! Mike was personable from the start, kind, friendly, relaxed. When I arrived I was given their full attention. Mike drove my car around a bit with me in the passenger seat as we tried to figure out the symptoms I had described to him (Isn't that half the battle? Understanding what I heard/felt and translating that into a plan of action!). Then they sent me off in a FREE LOANER CAR..nothing fancy, but heck...it saved me time, hassle, and the cost of a rental!! Later that afternoon I received a complete and completely thorough diagnostic email with pictures of the problems for my clear understanding, and then a phone call confirmed the diagnosis and the plan for recovery. It was not small and NOT cheap...but 2 days later I returned the loaner and drove away in my car having had a truly pleasant, TRUSTWORTHY experience. I feel confident in the experience and the outcome. So thank you to Mike and David and everyone at Portland Automotive. If I lived closer you would be MY mechanics for life!!!
